My original army of Skaven have been half painted for years now and I'm finally getting on the ball and painting them like a clan of snow Skaven. If you are a hard core painting fanatic that hates dipped stuff don't go through this thread lol. Though if anyone else would like to see some before and after pics I'll do my best to get some. I'm not looking to do it pro I'm just looking for a quick and decent way of getting my old models painted. I painted and dipped my stormvermin I used to always play with and I have a few other models painted and dipped that I think look excellent so let me know if anyone would want to see this stuff.
I'm even repainting the other models in my army that were already painted. I removed mold lines for the first time in my life (LOL) and as soon as some of the snow melts and there's a day with less moisture in the air I'm going to primer it all.

We would love to see a dipped army go through the whole process.

There's is 8 pictures give or take of my painting skillz thus-far. I couldn't figure out how to upload more than once picture on here so I quickly made a photobucket account and it looks like it works. Let me know how it goes, I put in the description of the pics what stage they are in. s800.photobucket.com/albums/yy282/Yeller19/

Anyone who'd begrudge you for dipping a skaven army has probably never tried their hand at hand painting 250+ models worth ~2k points. It takes forever! I wish I had known about dipping when I started them back in the day. Are you going to keep all of their fur white through the re-painting, or go a different color?

I pretty much plan to leave them all albino, if I add color to the fur it would be the characters.

Alright after 2 weeks I finally have some more pictures to post! s800.photobucket.com/albums/yy282/Yeller19/Painting/The Jezzail in this photo album is finished except for the Matte Varnish. First off I would like to ask if the stain looks dark enough (I brushed on 4 coats of it to try and darken it. So thats roughly like 20 hours to finish 1 model yikes.). So let me know what you think. The picture of the clanrat and the mini plague monk is a comparison between the new stain and the old stain. The old stain looks darker (and perhaps better) but I wanted to see what you guys thought before i stained anymore guys. The Stormvermin standard ( I'm also thinking about using him as the BSB since I don't use stormvermin) need stain and varnish and basing but I thought before I decided to do any of that I would see if you guys thought the free handed banner looked good. The last picture in the album is 2 random snot-ling models (from Jesse of course) which I green-stuffed onto a 20mm base. Its finished I don't think I want to stain it as I feel it looks good like is it, however, I will be painting over the base and basing it properly. Well that's whats new for now I will be painting more soon. Let me know what you guys think!

I like the stain work. The one thing I wonder about is the level of detail on the jezzail operators' faces. They don't seem to have the depth that the rest of the bodies have. Maybe it's just the camera angle.

Honestly i think it may just be the camera angle because the shield bearers face to me looks a bit blurry. What about the other models? good?

I like the musclature (sp?) on the models. It looks decently shaded. All you have to accomplish is for your opponent to like the models from across the board and for about a 1 foot inspection to look decent.
