I would like to compile a list of all of the stores around DFW that sell warhammer fantasy stuff. I need this for LW preparation. Could you help me fill out the list by giving the name and location of these stores.
The List:
1. Area 51 (Grapevine) 2. Games Workship (Grapevine Mills) 3. Games Workshop (Plano) 4. Games Workshop (Denton) 5.Generation X Comics (Bedford) 6. Y2Komics (Benbrook) 7. Lone Star Comics and Science Fiction (Central Arlington, Dallas, Mesquite, South Arlington, Hurst, Fort Worth, Plano) 8. The Gamer's Realm (Richardson) 9. Hobbytown (Dallas) 10. Hobbytown (Plano) 11.
I'll edit the list as you add more.
thanks!

Generation X Comics (Bedford) Y2Komics (Benbrook) Lone Star Comics and Science Fiction (Central Arlington, Dallas, Mesquite, South Arlington, Hurst, Fort Worth, Plano) The Gamer's Realm (Richardson)*** ***Not to be confused with the one in New Jersey and this assumes they will re-launch their store. It was on Coit Road & it was the finest gaming store I have ever visited.

I have not been there in many months . . . is the GW store in the Grapevine Mills mall still open . . . I have (fuzzy) memories (rumour?) they were going to move that one?

Texas Toy Soldier (Dallas, 75244) (On Spring Valley Road near Midway Road) Six 4x6 ft tables; two separated gaming areas. Games played or products offered: Flames of War, 40K, WFB, Dust, Fire and Fury, Dystopian Wars, Warmahordes. From the web link: #8 On the list apparently closed forever. cf. this blog entry: www.jasonrichards.net/2010/05/enter-gamers-realm.html I played some Warhammer there the last day it operated and the blog post description was totally accurate.

Yeah, Gamer's Realm kept saying they were going to relocate, but I got the feeling they were losing money and weren't able to get enough money together to re-open. It was ashame since it was a good store (played a few games of Malifaux there).

Yes, some of the people that used to work there went to another GW store that opened up in the DFW area, but the one in the mall is still open.

Rumor in another thread: The pretourney is a no-go for me, I'll be at a wedding that weekend. Does anyone know where the "new" Area 51 will be located? Area 51 is moving?? Checked their web page and did not see anything in the news section. But the 'news' section has a reference to the third anniversary in August [last August]?

Mike told me in June that they were "moving down the street" to a bigger location (I think he said in September) so that they would have more gaming tables and more space. You can call A51 and inquire. Since I will be there Sunday, I'll find out more and post the next location.
