Each army must have at least one character and at least three units. Each army must have at least 25% core troops and may not have more than 50% special troops, 25% rare troops, 12.5% heroes, and 12.5% lords. The following four special characters are available to the Storm Army (only these four special characters are available): Archaon from page 68 of the Warriors of Chaos Rulebook, Vardek Crom from page 15 of the Storm of Chaos Campaign book, Be’Lakor from page 26 of the Storm of Chaos Campaign book, and Khazrak from page 62 of the Beastmen Rulebook. The army MUST take either Archaon or Varkdek Crom.
The Against the Storm Army (ASA) gets 7,500 points to be divided among the four ASA players. However, the Dark Elf Army is required to have 1,875 points of the army; no more, no less. Each player builds a separate army. The total of the armies must not exceed 7,500 points. Each army must have at least one character and at least three units. Each army must have at least 25% core troops and may not have more than 50% special troops, 25% rare troops, 25% heroes, and 25% lords. The following four special characters are available to the SAS (only these four special characters are available): Valten from page 41 of the Storm of Chaos Campaign book, Emperor Karl Franz from page 56 of the Empire Rulebook, Teclis from page 66 of the High Elf Rulebook, and Morathi from page 65 of the Dark Elf Rulebook. Only the Empire player may take Valten and Karl Franz, only the High Elf player may take Teclis, and only the Dark Elf player may take Morathi. The ASA is not required to take any special characters.
Special Rules:
Is there a traitor in our midst? At the beginning of either side’s turn 3, 4 or 5 the Dark Elf player may elect to betray the ASA side and join the Storm Army. If the Dark Elf player has already acted with the ASA side at the top of turn 3, 4 or 5 before he switches sides, he will also get to act in the bottom of that turn with the Storm Army. Once he has betrayed the ASA he cannot switch back. All points scored by the Dark Elf Army prior to betraying the ASA stay with the ASA for determining victory.
Prepared to die. All ASA troops are immune to panic. The Dark Elf troops lose this ability if they switch sides.
Forewarned. The ASA goes first.
Large Battle. We will play on a 12x4 table.
Game Length. 7 turns.
Victory. If the ASA score 7, 500 points, they win. If the ASA scores between 3,750 and 7,499, the battle is a draw. If the ASA score less than 3,750 points, the Storm Army wins.
