Army Lists are due Saturday, March 16th. E-mail to shakala@cbiz.com or PM me on the site if registered.
Remember: You may submit Two legal army lists based on 2,800 point armies with 2,200 points of identical models and units must be contained within the two lists per the construction rules. WE changed the "sideboard" allowance to 600 points based on testing and a few comments. You may, alternatively, simply play one 2,800 point army list.
At least 700 points of qualified core units; No more than 700 points in Lords No more than 700 points in heroes No more than 1400 points in special units (with no more than 3 duplicates, unless army book exception) No more than 700 points in rare units (with no more than 2 duplicates, unless army book exception)
We are finding that 2,800 points allows for better and more interesting army construction and flexibility, especially for certain armies. We will attempt to be flexible and allow people to play their armies but reserve the right to limit certain options and combinations if obviously abusive. Remember that army composition will factor into sports scoring and tie breaking.
Only hero level special characters are allowed in 7th edition army books. All special characters are allowed in 8th edition army books, however, potentially abusive combinations may be restricted. • The Book of Hoeth is limited to a Wizard Lord with High Magic Lore • The Folding fortress is limited to 3 stories, no more than 10 infantry models (1 monstrous model counts as 3 infantry models) may garrison each floor in a building

Lists are coming in as are entries and payments. I am seeing registrations and lists from active Fantasy players in the Metroplex and region from persons I've not met before, so that is exiting to see and part of why we scheduled this event. We're looking very good at this point given registrations for having a good turnout but will not be overcrowed. There is a lot of room at Area 51.
We are seeing army lists come in steadily in the past two days.
Also, remember that we do allow for the option of playing just Saturday for $25. We discourage playing only one day unless one really had a serious conflict with playing the second day (a few people have inquired and have conflicts with Sunday). Some people are using this event as a tune-up for say Adepticon and cannnot come Sunday. That is precisely why we allowed for this option. We will have door prizes and end of game three/Saturday only prizes awarded on the first day and can e-mail the awards (store credits) if you leave before awards are announced on Sunday.
A few notes: 1. Please be sure that you clearly list the lore choice for each mage or model that can cast spells in each list submitted. You cannot change lores on a character in an approved list. The only way to change lores is to submit a second list with the lore changed for a character or characters. 2. Remember that any changes to a character or unit in terms of command models, banners, magic or similar items, and magic lores constitutes a different character or unit and will not be considered part of the common points requirement of 2,200 points. 3. While you may "true up" the points in an army list by adjusting the number of rank and files models in a common core or special unit in both lists, be aware that this should be limited (two units and not a large change in the unit size from one list to the next). The common points component of such units with modest changes in unit size will be determined based on the smaller of the units when comparing the first and second army list.
