I've had a few questions on items, so I decided to start a thread.
1. How will the exchange of army lists and choosing which list to play be done?
-The way I prefer is to have both players shares their lists with each other. Each player then chooses which list to play and places the chosen list face down in front of him/her. After both players have chosen their lists, then exchange them. This usually takes very little time. Most people have a pretty good idea as to which sideboard option they want to play given the army they are facing.
2. How are the sideboards being done?
What I am seeing so far is people simply having a character in the sideboard replace a character in the first list (sometimes chaning the magic lore and maybe a magic item or two) and maybe a few specialized units in the sideboard that replace a base unit or a few specialized units in the first army list. Generally, it is being kept simple. A few are taking advantage of the ability to add or subtract a few rank and files models from one or two core or special units in the main list in order to sync up the points in the second list as close as possible to 2800 but others are finding units that match each other in points cost in the sideboard with units that they replace in the main list. Thus, the sideboard option usually results in switching a handful of models at most in the physical army on the talbe and sometimes no models are actually switched because the options in the sideboard are simply changes in equipment, magic items or lores on the characters or units already in the main list.
3. What are people playing?
There are a handful of people I expect to show up yet. These are confirmed entries:
Skaven - 2
Chaos Dwarves- 2
Vampire Counts -2
Daemons of Chaos -2
Warriors of Chaos -5
Dark Elves -1
High Elves-1
Ogres-2
Dwarves-1
Tomb Kings-1
Empire -2
It looks like we will see a good test of the new Warriors and Daemons books. We have a number of people that have not submitted lists yet or declared an army choice.
