News a while back went out about the new Masters event organized around the major GTs in each region. Below is the post by John Bailey for the South Region. Right now, Lonewolf, Alamo GT (WHFB), and Bayou are heading up this event but also Shiloh Slaughter and Rock Wars are expected to qualify/participate as well as qualifying events (50+ players and 2-day, 5+ round events). There is news of consideration of a possible Oklahoma event.

"Masters Player Selection- South Region
Hey this is John Bailey, head gobbo of the AlamoGT, and Chairman for the South Masters region for the inaugural Masters 2014. So far the South Region is mostly Texas, but we'd be happy to bring our battle brothers from neighboring states on board with us. To that end those of you in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi, or New Mexico who know of GT level (2 day, 5+ games, 50+ player) events in your state please messages me details so I can reach out to the organizers of those events about getting on board for next year.
Because this awesome Masters event is getting going smack in the middle of the Texas warhammer season, the TO's of Lonewolf, Wargamescon, Alamo and Bayou will form an invitation committee and extend invitations to the top Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas players based on their finishes at those events. Invitations will be extended before Thanksgiving.
Because these players will be the ambassadors of Warhammer from our Region, the committee reserves the right to skip over players that have received multiple bad game votes at a single event, or bad game votes at two or more events.
Next year, this ad hoc process will be replaced with a more formal process, which tentatively is planned to culminate in a one day, three game playoff tourney among the top finishers in each GT from the Region.
Again, I surely would like to add more South region events to that list next year, so if you're not from Texas, let me know about big events in your neck of the woods.
