The army composition rules and scoring for this event have been posted on the Shiloh Slaughter web site.
•Warhammer 8th edition rules and FAQ's will be used.
*Lists are to be no larger than 2,500 points.
*Lists are due no later than January 5th. Late lists will not receive their bonus 5 SSPs. (see scoring page for details)
*All GW fantasy army books released at least 30 days prior to the event are permitted.
*Dogs of war armies and regiments of renown are permitted using the current PDF's. If you need a copy please email me and I will send them to you. Chaos Dwarfs are allowed, but you must have a hard copy of the Tamurkan rules with you for use at the tournament.
*8th edition book special characters will be allowed.
*The Battlescrolls for Be'lakor, The Restless Dead, Crypt Scavengers and Creatures of the Chaos Wastes will not be allowed for Shiloh.
*Models do not have to be painted, but they must be fully assembled to be legal and must be "WYSIWYG." Big conversions and Proxies might be allowed but must have tournament organizers approval first. Please use caution, do not have your models disqualified because you didn't check it out first. The general rule of thumb is if your opponent will have to ask more than once a game what is that model, then you probably need to have it approved. **Please note that the only awards that you will be able to win with an unpainted army are: Good Ol'Boy, Meaner Than a Snake, City Slicker, and HIs Cornbread Ain't Quite Done Yet.
*Units of skirmishers need to have movement trays or something that can be used to determine facing & line of sight arcs.
*Spells lore must be picked and used for the entire tournament. Please make sure that it is listed on your army list when you submit it.There are no magic item bans at this time.
* In the following couple of weeks we will be posting an FAQ for our tournament as to how we are going to rule on certain things. Please send me questions if there is something specific that you want me to cover.
* The tournament will be played with true line of sight, but we will have 2 different levels of hills, Level 1 Hills will block LOS to units that do not have the Large Target or Monster Rule. Level 2 Hills will block LOS to everything.
*No more than 40 wounds worth of models in a building. I.e. no more than 40 zombies or 13 ogres.
*Characters who are in units that would normally be able to benefit from a "Look Out Sir" roll my take one against the following spells as if they were a template. If there are multiple characters in the unit being cast at, then only one of the characters may make the "Look Out Sir" roll.
o The Dwellers Below o Final Transmutation o Dreaded 13th Spell
Scoring: 1. Battle scores are based on the 20-0 points system with up to 2 extra points for objectives each round. This is different from our usual major win-minor win-draw-minor loss-major loss scoring. 2. A detailed painting rubric is posted walking through the scoring 45 points for meeting minimum army standard and bonuses for specific features up to 65 point max from TO and up to 10 additional points for player's choice votes. 3. Sports is 55 base with up to 10 bonus points for best games and a sliding scale of penalties for bad game. 4. Up to 15 points for list being in on time, showing up each round on time, and turning in scoring sheets on time.
Brian has worked hard to take feedback into account and run a fun and fair tournament; so, like all our regional GTs, I really recommend this event.
