Chaos finally won a game. We played battle line instead of flanking.

Hey guys,
Let's take advantage of our get together to swap stuff. If you have any warhammer minis or books that you want to trade or give away, bring them tomorrow.

Quick report?? Did the Dark Elves bale, who won?

The elves baled hay all day, sacrificing their itinerant day laborer warriors to bale hay for the contentment of their evil, vile spells.
We only completed 3.5 turns, in about 7.5 hours of time. The good guys were about 2,000 points away from a draw.
Crom died in turn one before he'd taken a single step, Teclis was transformed into a frog and later killed with buboes, Archaon lost 75% of his wounds, steam tanks were brutal, and my nurgle sorcerer bit the dust.
Collectively, we consumed about 4,540 mg of caffeine and 10,000 calories of junk food.

Sounds like the junk food companies won.

Archaon had the attention of a full 3 cannons (and a mortar shot at one point) for 4 turns and survived with one wound left! Making "look out sir" depend on troop type is tough on The Lord of the End times versus Empire! The board was packed on the bad guys side. LIttle room to manuever and the good gus didnt give us much to fight in hand to hand where The Big A was deployed. That ability that makes him only woundable on 3+ definitely saved his hide.
Thanks for hosting, David, and thanks for running the show Paul.

Someone left a striped sweater jacket here. Sadly, there was no money in the pockets. Let me know if it's yours and I can mail it to you since who knows when I'll see everyone again.

Thanks for hosting David, and thanks to Paul for doing all the hard work to make these games possible, thanks to Bret/Andy for the great games (cruse those damn Witches) Too bad the final game took so long, it seems that Chaos armies do good in the later turns....we just reached their battle line and I had to split( I only had a babysitter for 8 hours) It was good to meet Hill/Matt. Just like the "real" Storm of Chaos we really don't have a clear picture of who won, maybe this campaign is cursed ? I think it was funny that I wrote an army list themed on Crom( I took no marks and a shit load of Marauders) and he was killed by the 1st spell cast in the game thanks to Teclis(?), but my level 2 got revenge on turn two by turning him into a toad(then sniped him on turn three...gotta love that Nurgle magic) over all good game thanks to all.
long live Warlord Tak Simo of the Vargs

The first turn death of Crom followed bythe "toadification" and subsequent Buboes'ing of Teclis will live in forever in the annals of Warhammer! :-) Good stuff! I am not sure what would have been more flavorful...that Archaon survived with a bare 1 wound left (and a big cannon ball hole in his torso) or if he had gotten plastered at some point.

Had Teclis been untoaded he was going after Archaon the same way he got Crom. Oh well it was not to be.

The spell was Dwellers Below. Every model has to pass a strenght test or it dies with no save of any type allowed.
